I bought this item for travel with my laptop and mp3 player. The audio output is what I expected for the size of the unit.
I also found the louder sound helpful when my wife and I "Skype" our friends as opposed to listening to the tiny laptop speakers.
The user manual would be helpful if it had step by step procedure to charge up the battery, initially set the time, alarm, radio stations etc. After putting the manual aside and fumbling around, I eventually had to figure it out myself.
For FM radio operation, I think the first step is to plug the audio cable to be used as an antenna, set the correct "Band", perform an "auto Search" then use the "save Channel" to scroll through the valid/saved channels. It might be a good idea to do this again when you travel to another city/state. If close enough to the radio stations, you may not need the audio cable plugged in.
Regarding the alarm clock function, as mentioned by another user, a snooze button would have been nice. I already have a travel alarm clock but it is nice to wake up with the music you like.
All in all, I am satisfied with this product.

Normally, I don't review items I've purchased. I give my feedback then go about my merry business. However, I have to write something about the new SimplyVibe SV-X6! I am in awe of this little thing (which I knew was small by the measurements clearly stated in the description).
Though, when I opened up the box, the battery came with a little "juice". In the directions it says to drain the battery before charging it the first time. So, I placed it in the device, turned it on and WOW! I was watching the VEVO channel on my phone when I plugged it in. I actually had to turn it down, but the sound was crystal clear.
It does a million different things too. I've already used a 16gb usb drive on it as well as an 8gb SD card. Both worked perfectly.
The best I can do besides write this is to tell all my friends to save their cash and buy the SimplyVibe SV-X6!!
Even though I have yet to fully explore all this tiny piece of tech does... I give it TWO THUMBS UP!

The device produces notably better sound than out of your computer or external monitor. Recording quality is decent but a bit tinny. It's not really good for playback of live acoustic performance. The biggest drawback is the interface; it's a bit cumbersome and non-intuitive. That is where you feel the cheap pricing.
