My 4 year old and her 'Jack, the pumpkin king' obsession led me to buy this.... I'm glad I did! It's hanging in the entrance and the Santa really takes up most of the picture. My husband didn't even realize the skeleton was there until my daughter pointed it out. It goes w/ the "Normal" decor. What you can't see very well is the number locater is 'OOgie Boogie's head. It was worth the buy and I get compliments on it ALL the time! Can be used every December.... no place to put candy in it... just move the head for the numbers. That's enough for me to do anyway.

After reading many of the reviews, I was a little nervous about ordering this product. However, I went ahead and ordered the 2-bin and 3-bin cubbies in the espresso color. One reviewer stated the directions were not clear. I found them to be perfectly fine. It took me about 30 minutes to assemble the first unit, and about 20 minutes on the second unit. One reviewer spoke about how bad the units smelled. I did not experience any issue with the smell. One reviewer mentioned their 2-bin and 3-bin units were both espresso, but did not match each other. Mine matched each other perfectly. Another person complained about the visible screw holes. It comes with stickers that are the exact same color as the wood. Once you put those on, it all blends in and looks fine. To summarize, I did not run into any of the problems that some of the other reviewers mentioned. One thing to note, these are fairly deep. Children under 3 may have problems using them... especially if you have 2 and stack them.

I bought a 2-bin and 3-bin cubby in Espresso on sale from another site and LOVE how functional they are while looking pretty nice. We have a 2-story house with an upstairs playroom, but toys inevitably migrate and live in the family room downstairs. These bins are a great solution for storing the downstairs toys because the espresso-colored finish looks more grown-up and tasteful in our family room. Also, because they are bins that the kids can see into, it's easy for them to pull toys out AND put them back. So, for better or worse, these Badger Basket bins don't hide the toys from sight. We have the Ikea Trofast plastic drawers system for storing toys in the upstairs play room, which is colorful and fun for a playroom, but (1) would not be my idea of family room storage; and (2) because you can't see into the Ikea drawers/bins, we've had to label each one with pictures of what ought to go inside so that our not-quite reading preschooler and non-reading toddler can know what should go where to help clean up. We tried using some tasteful baskets in the family room for toy storage, but there were always more toys than the baskets could store, and we ended up with a mis-matched collection of overflowing toy baskets in the unused fire place. These Badger Basket cubbies store so much more, and, like I said, look more like furniture for an adult space. The draw-back would be that the cubbies are so large and deep, if you have a bunch of small items, like Hotwheels, they would just get lost. You're better off putting those in smaller plastic boxes before putting them in these bins. The construction is pretty sturdy, and not too difficult for those of us used to Ikea-like put-it-together-yourself items. It took us a little over 2 hours to put 2 together. There are exposed screws that are supposed to be covered up with cheap round stickers. Those peeled off within 2 weeks. For the price, though (less then $100 each), I'm very satisfied. I also expect these to be useful elsewhere or later in our family life when the children are older, and we're no longer storing such a large collection of toys in the family room.

Overall the cubbys were easy to install and function as needed. Two things it didn't like.
1. The paint finish could have been better. It's a little streaky/wavy in some spots.
2. The screw holes are covered with a sticker instead a plastic cap. This makes the cubby
look a little cheap especially when kids either peel or puncture the stickers.

Packaging was good. Very easy for one person to assemble without instruction sheet in no more than a quarter-hour, although smaller people may have need to two persons to assemble it. Includes all screws (although no extras, so if you strip one, you're screwed); the screws are hex, and a small hex wrench is included, the only tool needed to assemble. Tubular anodised or powder coated steel construction, with perforated steel shelves.

The shelves bend a bit under load (I have it loaded with 40-55 lbs per shelf, about a dozen large hardcover textbooks and hardcover and leather-bound books of religion, per shelf, no paperbacks - or at least not any paperbacks that weigh less than 3 lbs - and anyone who has ever had a library full of texts on physics, chemistry, and Christianity can attest the books aren't octavo-sized miniatures: religious books - and most textbooks - are bound larger than life) but appear sturdy - the fact that it's holding up under 200 lbs or more of books proves that. The contraption is quite sturdy for its low weight.

If you load it down with heavy books, you need to pack them from edge-to-edge to keep them from tipping, although this may be a problem of carpeting or uneven flooring, although I doubt it. The shelves hook over the tubular steel used to construct the cross-braces for the shelves, but are slightly (maybe three-quarters of an inch, or an inch - half an inch per side) less wide than the frame, so if one puts a very thin book (many books of philosophy, etc.) towards the edge without pressure from the stack of books against the frame, it can fall through the small crack.

Overall, it's relatively large, relatively cheap, metal, and sturdy enough to hold scores of large, thick hardcover tomes of several pounds each, which most of the particle-board cases aren't, as they bend - and eventually break - under the weight, due to the nature of particle board. It's enough to hold ~70 textbook-sized A4 or 12 by 9 inch hardbacks arranged vertically, about ~100-110 trade paperbacks or mass market paperbacks of non-enormous length arranged vertically, and some ~150 paperbacks stacked horizontally, or double that (although I do not know if it could support the weight) if they're stacked two-deep.

Overall, I give a 8.5 out of ten, or four and one-quarter stars, and recommend it with some small reservations as mentioned above (mainly the books falling through the edges of the shelves if they're thin) but you're not going to find any shelf without those reservations until you get in to the solid-steel institutional-quality bookshelves in the $500+ range, or solid wood bookshelves that are very heavy and don't hold as many books in a similar price range.

Five stars out of five for the price, which for me was ~$75 with free shipping from Amazon.

Shelf was very easy to put together--no tools other than the supplied allen wrench required. It took me maybe 15 minutes to put it together. It's very strudy and was a great replacement for a wooden shelf I bought a few years ago which broke. Glad I went with the metal. The only complaint I have is the back support bars make it impossible to stack books on their backs without one jutting forward.

Bought these for my smart water system to replace the GXRLQR filters that seem just about impossible to find (for a good price). The form factor is exactly the same. However, if you look at the top of the filter, you'll notice that the inlet hole is much larger on the FQSLF filter than with the GXRLQR filter. This initially caused some problems with my filtration system. The hoses started to rattle and the water jetted out of the spout, only to become aerated, then dwindle down. I closed off the cutoff valve for the filter, undid the filter, then re-engaged it. Next I opened up the spigot and slowly opened the cut-off valve. I stopped when I got sufficient flow though the spigot. So far, it seems to be working well. If it continues to perform as such, I just found a cheaper replacement for my filters!
